
FACILITIES ELECTRICIAN
Position Summary:
Install equipment
for the workstations IAW the facility plan.
Major Duties:
- Lay out, install, maintain and repair
all electrical equipment and power and lighting systems
in the plant including motors, generators, transformers,
controls and mechanisms, timing devices, switches,
cables and conduits, communicating, recording and
alarm systems.
- Applies electronic theory, principles
of electrical circuits, electrical testing procedures,
mathematics, and related knowledge to analyze electronic
problems, determine and implement the best possible
and most expeditious corrective action required to
install, repair or modify production electrical equipment
such as machines tool numerical controls, and computer
numerical controls.
- Use various electronic measuring and
troubleshooting equipment.

cables and conduits, communicating, recording and
alarm systems.
- Use various types of testing equipment
to locate and correct trouble.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Able to use various types of testing
equipment to locate and correct trouble. Work on “hot”
circuits when required. May make functional tests
to determine that the electrically powered or electrically
controlled machines ore equipment operate properly
after installation or repair. Determine horsepower
requirements, line loads, material requirements, etc.
- May be assigned to specialized work
within the classification. May be assisted by helper.
- Vocational/trade school certification.
