CONTRACTS SPECIALIST

Position Summary:
Assists the Contract Manager in overall contractual obligations of the Facilitization program.

Major Duties:

  • Contract Administration duties including support of negotiations, execution, modifications, correspondence and customer interface.
  • Coordinate all required approvals and notifications pursuant to Contract Administration actions or documents.
  • Participate and advise in the preparation of quotations, bids and proposals.
  • Draft Sales Orders, Requests for Estimates and all other required contract administration documentation.
  • Develop, manage and negotiate agreements (software, licenses, non-disclosure, proprietary).
  • Manage and negotiate software and data rights assertions.
  • Follow-up and tracking on customer correspondence and issues.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to ensure prompt resolution of problems.
  • Organize, track and input data to support department metrics and quality initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Pre-Law, appropriate Liberal Arts.
  • Other disciplines considered with related experience.
  • Masters or Law Degree desirable.
  • Adherence to schedules and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and accomplish tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of the FAR and DFAR desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically in Excel and Word.
